What is a Hard Reset?
A hard reset (factory reset) restores your phone to its original factory settings. This removes all apps, settings, accounts, and data from the phone’s internal storage. It is an effective way to remove a forgotten pattern or password but it will delete personal files stored in internal memory.Important: Files on an external SD card are generally safe and will not be erased by a factory reset.
Important Considerations Before You Reset
Data Loss: All internal storage data (photos, videos, messages, apps) will be permanently deleted.Account Sign-out: Google account, social apps, and other logged-in accounts will be signed out. You may need account credentials to set up the phone again.
Battery: Ensure the phone has at least 50% battery or connect it to a charger during the process.
Alternative Options: If you want to keep data, specialized unlocking tools or paid services may recover access without a full reset — those are not covered here.
